Practice makes perfect but, what if you don’t know what to practice or worse, you’re practicing bad habits?! Receiving shooting instruction from a certified, professional instructor is the best way to make certain that you are on the right track.

Private instruction is available seven days a week at one of two incredible shooting facilities. Central Virginia Sporting Clays, a scenic hour drive west of Richmond and only 30 minutes east of Charlottesville. Old Forge Sporting Clays is located in Providence Forge, just 30 minutes east of Richmond and only 20 minutes west of Williamsburg.

We encourage sharing a lesson with a friend, family member or even a co-worker. Clay shooting is definitely a sport where “the more the merrier” rings true. It also often assists in the learning process by bringing up additional questions that one shooter may not have thought to ask.

Private instruction is just $175/hr and only $150/hr for a multi-hour lesson. If you are active military, veteran or law enforcement you will receive a 10% discount on any regularly priced instructional session. Gun hire, gun fit and golf cart rental are all included in the cost of instruction. VSS proudly offers Syren, Caesar Guerini and Fabarm shotguns for school guns.
