Welcome to the Spring edition of the ever popular, Shotguns & Saddles!

This event marries together the best of everything outdoors, horseback riding, fishing, clay shooting, fireside chats, star gazing, hot tub time, cocktails and so much more.

Ladies of any shooting ability and riding ability ages 14yo+ are welcome to join Kate for a magical, mountain getaway. Arrive at North Mountain Outfitter in Swoope, Va 4p on Sunday, September 10th and be greeted on the expansive front porch of the bunkhouse with drinks and hors d’oeuvres. As you get settled into the spacious settings of the bunkhouse, you’ll love all of the cowboy and cowgirl touches and decor.

Gather around the table for a scrumptious dinner and then watch the skies fill with stars above the mountaintops. The next morning you’ll be treated to a home cooked hot breakfast before heading down the hill to the stables to meet your trusty steed and the fabulous Dwight Wood, cowboy extraordinaire! Dwight and his guide will expertly match you to the perfect horse and assist you in riding basics and safety. Then it’s off to the mountain trails. The ride to the gun club is about an hour and a half and navigates gorgeous mountain trails filled with flora, fauna and wildlife.

Once you arrive to the club, you’ll gather in the pavilion for a gourmet boxed lunch and to learn the history of Shenandale Gun Club, one of the most scenic courses in Virginia. After a safety briefing, everyone will have ample time to pull the trigger on a fantastic assortment of some of the finest Italian shotguns made specifically for women, courtesy of Syren! After shooting, saddle back up and take a ride back to the ranch where Kate will again meet you with delicious hors d’oeuvres and drinks. Relax in the hot tub. Wet a line in the pond and reel in a few bass. Or just wander the hillsides and take in the vistas. Finish the day with the famous steak and crab cake dinner complete with homemade pies. Close out the evening with cowgirl bingo and a chance at fabulous prizes!

Tuesday morning leisurely sip coffee along with a continental breakfast before heading back through the pass to home.

This event is rain or shine and includes professional instruction, lodging, meals, open bar, gun hire, shells, clays, horseback riding and guides, fishing, prizes, thank you gifts, fresh air and excitement in a beautiful mountain setting for only $685pp. Reservation requires $100 deposit which is non-refundable after March 15, 2024. Remaining balance is due in full April 15, 2024.
