Shooting Facilities/Gun Clubs

Central Virginia Sporting Clays – Palmyra, VA

A public course open Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (with other times by appointment only), featuring a 5 stand, wobble, and 14 station walk around.

Old Forge Sporting Clays – Providence Forge, VA

A public course open Wednesday through Sunday, featuring a 5 stand, wobble, and 15 station walk around.

Cedar Creek Sporting Clays – Millville, NJ

A public/member course open Wednesday and Friday through Sunday, featuring 3 full walk around 100 target courses. Cedar Creek is also home to fellow Paragon instructor and master target setter, Joe Scull.

Cavalier Rifle & Pistol Club – Montpelier, VA

A private/members only club offering archery, pistol, rifle, and shotgun ranges. Non-members are invited/allowed to participate in registered matches. See club website for more details.

Bacon FarmsLunenburg, VA

Brand new on the preserve scene, this property offers groomed milo and native grasses free of briars! Offering all 3 species, guided or bring your own dogs. Ring shoots and dove hunts available. 

Little George Rod & Gun – Buckingham, VA

A true experience for the discerning bird hunter. This is the closest you can get to wild pheasant/quail hunting east of the Mississippi! Also offers a dove club membership and fabulous event venue on over 1000ac of rolling hills with 2 miles of frontage along the James River.

PriestviewPiney River, VA

A hidden gem! Nestled at the base of Priest mountain, this family owned/operated preserve will invoke the feeling of a western bird hunt. Blowing fields of broom sedge and rolling hills make for a picturesque and walkable hunt.

Lake Hawea Outfitters – Wanaka, New Zealand

Offering hunts since 1993, Lake Hawea Outfitters predominately offers hunts for red stag, tahr, and chamois.

Paragon School of Sporting

The ultimate in sporting clay and wing-shooting instruction. Dan Schindler, owner/founder offers phenomenal instruction, clinics and instructor certification.

Artemis

Bold sportswomen creating fresh tracks for conservation. Artemis is dedicated to creating opportunities for women and youth through conservation, lobbying and education. A part of the National Wildlife Federation, with a rich history of fostering relationships with like-minded women.

Kate proudly serves as the Virginia Artemis Ambassador offering low/no cost outdoor  education/conservation activities and events.

American Daughters of Conservation

A non-profit organization of like-minded women that value continued education and conservation efforts of the outdoors. With chapters offered in 35 states, there is sure to be an environment fit for you.

Delta Waterfowl

Founded in 1911 by James Ford Bell of General Mills Corporation to protect, preserve and promote ducks and duck hunting. Working to enhance duck habitat, hunting opportunities and the preservation of hunting and expansion of the number of hunters actively involved. Offers chapters throughout Canada and U.S.

Ducks Unlimited

Incorporated January 29, 1937 and founded by Knapp, Huntington, Bartley and Benson who held interests in wildlife conservation. These gentlemen began a foundation that shapes public policy, offers conservation easements and provides opportunities for hunters and nature lovers alike to continue to enjoy waterfowl.

A must have resource for all things hunting in fishing in our great commonwealth.

The National Sporting Clays Association, offering registered shoots for the occasional and serious competitor alike.
